No for large scale solar farms in Italy
The Italian government in March and May 2019 approved the construction of two (150 MW and 113 MW) solar farms in the municipalities of Tuscania and Montalto di Castro in the province of Viterbo in the Tuscia region, respectively. The areas of this region were planned to become the center of construction of solar installations. However, the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Activity has requested the government to withdraw its consent to build farms in this historic region. As it turns out, the Italian government is opposed to the large-scale development of photovoltaics, because the ministry's request was approved, which means that the planned investments will not come into being.
